I just went to my 1st real track event last week and am already addicted. While I am no veteran track racer, the guys I went with were and gave me lots of advice. Here's what I would suggest, sorry if some has already been mentioned:
1. Race pads just for the event. Be sure to bed them in properly. 2. Bleed brake system before event, use high performance fluid 3. Check tire pressure and re-torque lugs before each session 4. Use Race gas 5. If they will let you, try to ride as a passenger with an experienced driver first to get a feel for the track before you go out on your own. 6. try to ride with several different instructors as you will learn different things from each one. 7. Learn the flags and pay attention to them. 8. Bring lots of tools and extra fluids just in case
That's about all I can think of right now. Hope you have a blast. Good luck!
